Coates Justice

Justice is a buckskin and white 2 year old colt. He currently stands at 14hh. Justice has rubbed his forelock and mane but this will obviously come back in no time at all. Justice has a small, neat head, plenty of bone, body and feather with a good back and very friendly and placid temperament. Moondust aka Dusty

Dusty is a stunning DNA TESTED buttermilk buckskin 2007 filly. Dusty has a beautiful pint sized head and small neat ears with contrasting black tips. Dusty has good legs, a thick mane and tail, good feather and quality bone. Dusty stands at 12.2hh. Dusty's Dad was a buckskin stallion and her Mum was a blue blagdon mare who we are told goes back to The Boss and The Business. Coates Promise is a PHENOMINAL huge black and white gypsy cob filly. She has quality, class, movement and size whilst not negotiating on type. If you are a serious gypsy cob breeder this filly is one to set the standard and should not be missed. Promise is what all the breeders are striving to breed for. We are not referring to height as whether we are talking top breeders who are breeding for the pony types or top breeders who are breeding for the taller types this filly has THE 'type' that every top gypsy cob should possess. Mary Kate is a striking 20 month black and white traditional yet classy filly. She stands at a shade under 14hh and is expected to mature to 14.2-14.3hh. Mary Kate has very good conformation. She has a good head, short back, flat quality bone and straight silky feather, topped off with beautiful exotic markings and a lovely mane and tail. Shandy's very heavy, exceptional bay colt, very sweet, expected to make a super cob. Toffee has a short and wide back, good head and ears, exceptional feather, a thick tail, a double mane and a coat that is over 2 inches long in places! He is cuddly and hairy like a teddy bear! Luscious (Lush)

Palomino colt out of 14hh chestnut mare and by 15.1hh palomino stallion. Pictures available upon request. Please note he has started to shed his coat in these pictures so he has fluffy bits all over! We can't wait to see him in the Summer! Superb stallion prospect. This guy has one of the prettiest head's I have seen on a colt and an adorable expression that makes your heart melt. Although you cannot see Lush has high leg whites and a white splash on his belly...STUNNING! Fourth picture at only few days old. Sinead

Sinead is a stunning black silver dapple mare. She stands at a chunky 14.2hh and is the heaviest black silver dapple mare we have seen or owned. Having said this Sinead doesn't have all of her hair/feathers 'in' at the moment as when we bought her last October she literally looked as though someone had shaved them off as she had been kept in a very very wet, boggy field. Give her another few months and they will be back to the way they were, incredible. However it does have to be said considering she is not even washed here she has more than most already! Sinead is broken to drive and has pulled a wagon. She is 7 years old and is a quiet mare to do. Sinead is possibly in foal to a black silver dapple and white exceptionally well bred horse. If she is not in foal already she is currently running with another exceptional stallion of ours known as The Property...he is a heavy dapple grey and is yet to be revealed but prepare to be impressed! Martina is an outstanding example of the gypsy cob. She stands at a stocky 14.2hh, has the most beautiful refined head you could wish for whilst not compromising on bone, body and hair. Martina is 9 years old and she was once purchased as a 4 year old by one of the UK's top breeders for an astronomical price. Martina has produced 4 top quality foals to date of which is not available to purchase. Martina is not believed to be in foal at the moment. We bought this lovely 3 year old colt/stallion only recently and although he is filthy here and underweight we feel that with a bit more time for his mane and forelock to grow back, some condition and lots of grooming(!) he is going to make a super horse. Fritz is said to be by LENNY BIGNALL's HORSE (now in Arizona, USA) which would explain his quality conformation. Fritz has a lovely slightly dished head, very small and neat ears, a short back, plenty of bone and feather and a very sweet and willing personality. Fritz stands around 14hh at 3 years old and has been started in driving. Miss Coates is a phenominal mare for the serious breeder. Miss Coates has faultless conformation from 'tip to toe'. Dana COLOUR RESULTS BELOW

Dana is a lovely black silver dapple mare (TESTED SEE COLOUR RESULTS BELOW). She has a rich chocolate coat and a thick and bright golden mane and tail. Dana is broken to drive and has done some riding too. She has a beautiful head, good legs and a very sweet disposition. I actually have pictures of Albert riding Dana loose in a field with no headcollar or rope although she is very muddy in them! Dana is 5 years old and stands at 14hh. Red/Black Factor Test (EE) Homozygous black. Carries two copies of the black pigment, will always transmit black pigment to foals, and since black is dominant, the horse can not have a red-based foal regardless of it's mate. Silver Dilution: (nZ) Heterozygous. Positive for Silver Dilution. Black based horses are diluted to Black Silver Dapple with Flaxen mane/tail. Coates Red is an 8 year old stunning stallion. He stands at a chunky 14hh and is as quiet as they come to handle. Red is also broken to drive and is very well mannered as a result of this. Red's Father is the famous TROLLEY COB who is of Blue Boy bloodlines. Red's Mother was a heavy black mare who goes back to a horse named Lonesome (a bay and white stallion). He got his name as apparently his owner was usually on his own. Coates Red has also ran in a field with mares, so he is a gentleman. Peggy was born in late April 2005. She has very nice flat bone and is a good mover. Peggy has been broken to drive now and just needs a little bringing on. Bobby Boy

Bobby is a super chocolate (Certified Red Factor: Ee Silver Result: nZ) and white stallion who is a son of the famous chocolate/silver dapple stallion known as THE BUSINESS. His Mother was Brother Jordan's good black and white mare. Bobby is four years old, stands at just over 14.1hh and is quiet to handle. Anna is a heavy, hairy black and white mare, scanned in foal and due this Summer. Anna has a sweet, kind temperament and is a super example of a traditional gypsy cob. Coates Dash of Colour was bred from one of our very own top class young mares 'Davina'. Dash's Father was a horse Sired by the famous 'Billy Gaskin Horse'. Dash's Father is sadly now deceased but he was once sold for a very hefty sum. His conformation speaks for itself and just look at that feather! Willerby daughter 3 years old

Proof that if you breed right it never fails! Here is another top quality 3 year old filly/mare well in foal and a daughter of Willerby. We have 2 daughter's of The Willerby Mare, we have The Willerby Mare herself AND we have pictures of the 2005 Willerby daughter and all of them are top quality girls. Now THAT is a proven bloodline! Unfortunately a filly in the last field these girls was in fancied a career in hairdressing and decided to chew manes, forelocks and tails which WERE long! Fortunately she left the feathers! Clarissa

Clarissa is a beautiful, traditional, coming 5 year old, heavy mare. Her Mother is an exceptionally heavy Conners bred mare and her Father is a super stallion from Bradford who no amount of money can buy since his breeder and owner know's his worth when he produces mares like this. Clarissa stands at approx 14hh and is about as wide too! She is clearly in foal and this is to a heavy black and white stallion of an exceptional bloodline, 'BILLY BOY' bloodline! Stunning blue and white mare

We are proud to be able to offer a very nice 14.2hh (measured on a stick) blue and white, well marked young mare. She will be 4 this year and is supposed to be in foal although not yet scanned. This young mare is very sweet and loves people...she has straight, silky feather, good legs, very nice conformation and a very pretty head. Topsy - TOP Quality Mare

This is a SUPERB new mare standing at a heavy 14.3hh. She has a huge chest, tons of body, bone and feather, aswell as a previously long and thick mane (she has been turned out amongst tress :S ), a thick tail and a stunning pony head. This mare certainly has it all as we also know that she is very very well bred. We also believe that she is homozygous but are awaiting a test result. Topsy is said to be Eddy Horcocks bloodline. Lottie is a 2 year old filly believed to be related to the famous 'LOTTERY HORSE' although this is not proven. Lottie has beautiful markings and is a very well put together filly. Petal

Petal is a lovely traditional black and white well marked 2 year old filly to make a chunky 14.2hh/14.3hh. As you can see this young filly is LOADED with hair! She has a really thick, long and busy mane and forelock, a thick bushy tail, loads of hair and a traditional gypsy build. Petal also has inkspots in her coat and can be tested homozygous for tobiano gene. Petal's Sire was a heavy black and white horse who stood at 14.2hh and was loaded with hair (obviously where she get's it from!) and Petal's Dam is a black and white heavy Conner's mare from Ireland who stood at 14hh. We were told Petal's Sire is a son of Lion King.
